Video Premier: Yesterdays Virgins x Steash Fashion Film For Fred Hates Fashion

Boyz in crop tops... yes please!

Melbourne label, Yesterdays Virgins designer Alex Jon Hansen takes inspiration from Pop Art, BDSM, Soviet skinheads, punks and anarchists and presented a 26 piece, unisex collection at this years Fred Hates Fashion for MSFW pushing gender boundaries incorporating crop tops worn by men. Having previously been strictly black and white, this time Hansen tied in metallics and pastels, our favourite being the powder blue tracksuits with oversized tassel detailing.

YV collaborated with STEASH for the LOST LIFE Fashion Film, showing a young couples progression into a ‘wasted life’ – touching on gender reversal, drug abuse, sexual self-mutilation, and a bondage scene with a 3D printed mask made by Sydney designer Jake Stollery.   Check out the film first here…
